|
|
Okay, so here's what's going on. Years back, I bought the first generation Kronos from a Guitar Center on clearance as I was told they were getting rid of the old to make way for the new. This keyboard was one of the display keyboards, so of course people fiddled around with it and used it. Long story short, there are files that are on the keyboard that I want to get rid of to free up space now that I am learning how to really use the keyboard and add newer sounds to the Kronos. If I'm not mistaken, I believe I read somewhere that there is no "delete" feature, which is absolutely stupid if that's true, but I'm hoping that I'm wrong. However, if I am wrong, how can I factory reset it to erase everything that was created by the other users? I still want all of the stock sounds from program mode and combi mode, but the songs that the other users created are just taking up space on my keyboard and i just want to get rid of them completely so I can work comfortably! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!! |

In disk mode there should be "Factory" folder on first level. I guess if it is not there you would need a complete factory install from the provided discs.
Go to the manual to read about that. I've had to do that twice in 6 years. You will need a usb dvd RW disc drive, which are inexpensive at wal mart or best buy. Plug it in, insert disc 1 and it just does it, no problem. |

Program and Combi modes offer an Initialize Program and Initialize Combination option, respectively, in the drop down at top right of the screen, when the "Main" tab is selected. This is effetively a delete operation. Once chosen, the option to initialise the whole current bank is offered. Changing a Program Bank type from HD-1 to EXi, or vice versa, will also result in the entire Bank being initialised.

Sounds very handy. But I'm not looking to delete any of the programs or combinations. I just want to delete the songs or just factory reset it. |

Here is a INIT.PCG which allow you to initialize all Kronos.
But, as you know, entering pcg files with "Open" command, in several levels, you can choose what to initialize.

Songs can be initialised, too, though they don't load when the Kronos boots up. Once the Kronos has been cleared, the Factory PCG can be loaded.

If you just want to delete songs; no problem.
Go to Disk mode. Press Utility page.
Highlight the song. press the drop down menu and hit DELETE.
It would be a good idea to do a save all before you start; just in case. |

Sorry for the delayed response. Been out of town. I will try the reset file that's in the link you provided. Also would I be able to get the Berlin piano for free from that link you provided? I saw it towards the bottom of the page and was just wondering lol |
