I'm looking for the appropriate page in the 4x manual that refers to loading of mp3 files.
I'm aware that you can record and save an existing style or song and save as MP3. However if I have an existing MP3 file on a flash drive what steps do I take to get it into the song book / hard disk. Additionally how would you remove only the vocal track from the saved file.

Thanks,
Jim

Go into SONGPLAY mode, select the MP3 song
Press and hold SONGBOOK button
Create new songbook entry

Remember that SONGBOOK merely "points" to its resources so you must have the media containing your MP3 files connected.

Also, you go to Media, Copy, Select the USB, select the file, then COPY TO the hard drive. Then you can add it to Songbook and you won't need to have the USB device connected to play it.
