|
|
Hi, I'm a new Electribe 2 user from a couple of days.
I have an issue with the lcd display... I left the box in the living room, so I found my little child twisting the knobs.... and the display totally empty!! all the other stuff are still working except the display.... it's turned on but totally clean!
Do you know a procedure for an "hardware" reset??
I can't even get the factory reset from the menu!!
thanks |

Maybe your child turned the LCD Contrast down to 0. But if I turn it to 0 I can still see the menu, when I look on the screen from the side. Anyway, I try to guide you blindly to the menu setting.
First to the LCD Contrast:
- turn off your e2 and turn it on again and wait like 30 seconds until it's fully loaded
- press Menu/Enter button
- press < button 3 times
- press Menu/Enter button
- press < button 5 times
- twist the knob above <> to the right
To Factory Reset:
- turn off your e2 and turn it on again and wait like 30 seconds until it's fully loaded
- press Menu/Enter button
- press < button 2 times
- press Menu/Enter button
- press < button 2 times
- press Menu/Enter button
You now entered factory reset. I assume you have to press Menu/Enter again, but I don't want to test it, you can guess why
I hope that helps.
Edit: Damn, a step to factory reset was cut in the first version, now it should be ok. |

Thank for your kind reply!
I tried a factory reset following the steps you wrote...
Don't know exactly what happened..
I turned off the electribe and turned on again, but the patterns I have previously saved are still there! |

Maybe you have to press Menu/Enter one or two more times, don't know.
LCD Contrast adjustment didn't help? I have a hard time to imagine what else it could be.
Anyway, I guess you're better off writing to Korg support. I'm pretty sure there's a way to reset the e2 with a button combination while booting up. And don't forget to post it here |

Lcd contrast blind procedure didn't worked... twisting the knob nothing was changed.
I'm seriously thinking to return the Electribe for a refund procedure... maybe what happened with my child has been just a coincidence.
Hope to find a solution in the meantime!
thanks for your help |
