I know that this topic was covered many times but today I was browsing Kronos forum into detail about quality and mostly comes to this
1.It freezes a lot ( my M1 and M50 never did) and that is all being a pc so if I buy a ups unit it will be trouble free most of the time yes?

Thats the problem with Internet forums- you are only hearing from about 10 owners with an issue. I don't believe you should compare an M50 or an M1 to a Kronos.

My Kronos has locked up at most 3 times in the past year. Prior to that, 2 times in the past 5 yrs.

I know I stressed the SEQ and the room temps were+80 degrees.

But thats only my context.

IMO, from reading posts here + 6 yrs, I would characterize the issue as lightly intermittent.

As you pointed out, you need to defend against power issues with a UPS

Greg is absolutely right. Most of the time you will only hear about the odd problem but never the good things. My 6 year old Kronos has frozen up maybe 3 times and I use it all of the time. Pretty much at least 5 days a week.
I record, rehearse and gig with it a lot. Do I use a USP live? Nope but I should. I know I should.
If I'm doing fast organ type stuff a either midi or us a USB connection from an alternate keyboard. My Kronos is a 73 key baby.
The learning curve isn't all that bad if you are used to Korg products.
And as far as I can tell, there really isn't anything better or even close.

I can confirm what others said here. Mine has locked up twice in 3 years. First time was when my phone was on top of it, and a call came in. Second time was when I plugged in the nanopad during bootup.

Freeze? Lockup? Never had one. I am surprised that others did have them.

Have my Kronos since 2011. Use it every day.

I have had a freeze 3 times in two years, BUT not after up-dating the latest OS & firmware. I do use a UPS also.
