|
|
Hi all,
So I've had the KROSS for almost a year and am still getting used to a lot of its functionality. I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on with the sounds... Everytime I play a note/chord, it cuts it off like a pizzicato. Every program does this, all categories.
I've reset to factory settings, updated the software in the KROSS and gone through Global Settings over and over. Anyone have an idea how to fix this? I can't find any information online about this problem. Thanks ! |

Did this behaviour just recently pop up or did you have it from the very beginning when you acquired the Kross? _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

Thanks for responding. It unfortunately happened mroe recently. I have narrowed the problem down to being when sending MIDI information to either my computer or a slave MIDI controller. When not using MIDI, sound is perfectly fine after I restart the station. |

Ok, strange.
Which version of the Kross firmware are you using? Maybe with the latest one this is fixed.
I was first thinking that it is an issue of number of available voices on the Kross, but you say in the first post, that it happens on every program. Then it is probably something else.
When the MIDI is sent, which direction? From Kross to PC/Controller or the other way around or both? What type op MIDI information are you sending?

In case I didn't say before, I am on a Mac so the firmware is for that v.1.2.2
I've tried sending MIDI different waysbut every attempt was MIDI OUT. Once was just USB to a USB hub to the mac, the other was a MIDI OUT to another MIDI keyboard/controller (M-Audio Axiom) to Mac, and I even tried using iConnectivity Midi Interface and its the same problem every time. |

Euhm, with firmware I'm referring to the software in the Kross itself. That is independent of the fact whether you are using windows or mac.
The latest one is version 1.0.4 afaik. You can see it in the bootup screen. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
