You don't. Volcas (except the FM) have not way to send data beyond analogue sync (2ppq) without opening them up and modifying them to send MIDI. And if you do do that, you will only be able to record the sequences, not patch dumps.
The FM can send patch dumps via audio using the sync-output socket. Maybe if we are lucky Korg will implement that on the older Volcas, but I'm not holding my breath until they do. _________________ Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here |

dont remember if vosyr does backup as well as transfer but its a good program for managing the volca sample. you may wanna check it out.
