Just found this forum - looks like I'll be spending a lot of time here.

So, here's the question - while I am computer literate, I do not have any experience in software synths, computer interfaces, etc. call me old fashioned (or just old.. but not that old), but I started out playing analog synths hence my gravitation to the KingKorg. Love it so far, but I wanted to upload the Bonus Programs found on the Korg website. Hence the question... how the ^&%$ do I do it? Do I need to download the Korg Librarian first to my laptop? I have already saved the Bonus Programs files to a thumb drive. I assume that I download the Korg Librarian, connect the laptop to the KK, and then everything will be self-evident? Sorry for such a newbie question, but is unchartered territory for me.

Thanks in advance for your help! Very Happy

I wish I could help you but I'm not sure either. I've had my king Korg for about 3 years now but I've never tried to import any sound into her.
If I was to gues, you might have to first put the sounds into the king Korg editor. But then again I'm probably very wrong here.
I've just never seen a USB stick that has the same type of connection that is in the back of the king Korg.
Forgive my lack of elequence but I'm sipping on single malt right now.
Hope you get this one figured out I think the king Kori is an amazing little synth.

Once you have the Librarian and the KK connected you import the sounds to the Librarian.

You can then listen to the new sounds one at a time and write any you like to the KK.

You do not have to import them all. Also you can then back up your own sounds and save them as a file to the PC.

There is documentation with the download to tell you what to do.

You will also need the Korg USB-Midi driver for the PC.

Thanks Cenobite - will try it out!

Averagebear6 - I agree - really impressed with the KingKorg so far. The last Korg keyboard I had as a Poly 61 and I loved that keyboard.
