I have just loaded a previously saved .set to my pa4x and got a message saying "device generic error" The set being loaded was saved yesterday on a usb stick. Can someone explain what a generic error is please?
Many thanks. Rob _________________ PA1xpro/Korg O1w fd/pa4x76 Roland rd800 pk5 bass pedals and numerous useless amps mixers and othe bits of junk from the past |

hi Rob
'Device generic error' sounds to be computer speak for 'it doesn't work'. A not very helpful message, more information might help.
Meanwhile, there is a couple of older threads on here about the problem:

Hope you resolve this without too much hassle

My post in suggested topic has nothing to do with your case !
Beware of this USB drive , since your Pa4X is under the same OS that means that sectors of USB drive are damaged
and your SET is corrupted (data loss).
Re-format it in your Pa4X and if possible try to check it via PC/Mac USB drive benchmark utility , but highly recommended
to use high quality media drives for your Pa4X resources and always make a copy in internal HD ! _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer
