Hi ferchis,

I had the same issue couple of months ago. QR answered, that I should make a reset on the IPAD (pressing the Home Button and the Power Button together for a couple of seconds), nothing will be deleted, but afterwards, it worked fine, I'm doing it now regulary.

Yes, I am pretty sure. I am working with the Ipad on the kronos, and as you changed the USB 1 and USB 2 to L/R I would say that the fault is not on the side of the Kronos.

As I said, I had this issue and a reset helped.

But it can also be a problem with the camera connection Kit (Dirty, or mechanical problems on the Jack. Faulty´or too long cable.

By the way, I assume you are using the original Apple CCK?
Some devices are midi only, like the Alesis I/O...

thanks a lot laste, it did work! now I can get the sound out of the ipad, there's just one thing I still don't know how to control: how do I assing (por example withing a combi) the sound coming from the audio input (USB) to a given channel or combi part (so I can layer it or assing it to a particular keyboard zone, etc)?

let me know if I'm not making myself clear, it could be a bit difficult to explain...

Hi,

I think you mean, what is explained on page 419 of the Reference Book:

Just below the Programm Select on the Combi-Page you find
a field, where "INT" is choosen. You can change this to:

"EXT": Use this to play an external MIDI device, with
Bank Select via the front‐panel Bank buttons. With this
setting, the Timbre’s Program will not respond to
either the local keyboard or MIDI input. MIDI will be
transmitted to external devices on the selected MIDI
channel.

"EX2": Use this to play an external MIDI device, with
custom‐set Bank Select via the Bank Select LSB and
MSB parameters, on the MIDI tab of the Timbre
Parameters page. In all other ways, this is the same as
EXT.

On you app, you have to choose the corresponding Channel for Receiving

But I am not sure, if the Kronos is also working with the
Split-Zone etc. on the external mode.

But there is a nice App for the Ipad: http://www.imidipatchbay.com/
The Light version is free...that can be used for that also.

Sorry for reviving this thread but i was browsing the forum for ipad related threads ahead of my ipad delivery this week and this pops out. That's really great that the Kronos can do that.

I can also confirm that this also works with Galaxy Note 5. Igrand Piano, Thumbjam, DrumJam, Ilectric Piano all working and sending audio to Kronos.
