|
|
Hello everyone. I would like to find some alternative at some problems that I have with the Pa4x.
After 3 years playing with Pa3x (my queen), I bought the pa4x, but I am not very impressed with the software. Here are the problems, at least for me... :
1. "Select" button in Songbook - Without it, sometimes i press on wrong song. (I found the alternative in Search mode-but I don't have the playlists)
The setlist is not the solution for me. Select button was very good.
2. If I am playing a style and want it to change to another in rush, sometimes I touched the metronome bar, under the style title but there is no response. In pa3x it brings you the style menu if you pressed anywhere in the style spot.
3. If I want to record a new sample with mic/audio in or load an external sample from external device it won't preview on the Main L+R outputs, if I set the mp3 player on the 1+2 audio outputs. This is crazy...I don't understand why.
4. Sometimes the touchscreen don't respond when playing 1 minutes with the same STS , and then if i press on the touchscreen display to another STS, she does nothing.
Sorry for the bad english. If you have some ideas, please help me.
Best wishes ! David. |

If you want to have pa3x features.
Go back to the pa3x.
I havent even noticed any of this, since i never used a pa3x..
The touchscreen problem doesn't excist in my unit neither.
Maybe changing keyboards just takes a little time to get used to them? _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.

Maybe, but why Korg assign the sample editor output with mp3 output? - there is no sense
Why nothing happens if you touch the metronome bar ? it's obviously you want to enter the style menu.
And the "select" button from songbook it's a lot of story. Now I change the song by "LUCK"
That's my opinion... |

I believe a lot of the complaints about the PA4X (coming from previous PA2X/3X owners) are due to the fact that it is perhaps not fully realised (or remembered) that the PA4X has a NEW OS design - not updated, NEW - NOT an updated PA3X.
Took me a while to get used to it and learn it.
PA4X has an excellent OS, best so far IMHO and its design is logical, sensible and so much more effective.
I'd hate to see it hacked around so that it looks like a PA3X.
Spend some time to get deep into SONGBOOK, SETLIST, and KEYBOARD-SETS - absolutely brilliant.
Cheers

You have probably done this, but you might try re-calibrating the Touch Screen. _________________ DonM |
