Why Does Upper Octave drop 2 octaves, not one?

I play acoustic guitar parts a lot on my PA4x using two hands. I find that dropping the upper octave forces me to play too far to the right on the keyboard because the octave switch changes by TWO octaves, not one.

I have searched for a way to drop by only ONE octave but even on the Mixer/Tuning page the dial skips a hash mark and only will do two octaves.

What is it that I am missing? Try adjusting the dial and see:
