Point me to this if you can. Thanks

Yes I will Greg. Nice to chat again.
In fact I've just ordered my new Kronos 61 2 this very minute, so game on. It's arriving Monday.
good to chat, brother. Will be like the good old days with the K2.

Do you produce your own video ? I admire how you create songs and match video
It just happens Greg. I write stuff and then see how it feels and go from there with pics. There's no master plan. Just go with the flow.
My dads a jazz musician. Very analytical, I'm a bit unorthodox I suppose.

I'm not sure about the Kronos App yet but I'll let you know if it's worth it.
I am with you- have a strong relentless Muse. Its awesome to create new material consistently. Since my tunes are also somewhat cinematic and are 'message ' songs I hope to add video this year.

Isn't it great how rich and famous we are becoming ? Wink ( j/k)

Nice to see another Mancunian here Smile

I had so much stress when I was younger. It was all very well trying to please record company execs and studio owners, but in '95 I gave it all up for a job in IT and finally retired in 2008. Musically, I just do want I want now and I couldn't be happier.

But Re. The Kronos... I've never been more impressed with a keyboard. It still stands up against today's best and considering the Kronos/Oasys platform is now 13 years old, I think Korg have done an incredible job with it.

Hello GregC,
I have one question, if you are so kind to answer me. How you are satisfied with your Roland FA 07, and combination with Kronos? I wish you all best in New year and with your new Kronos.

Just curious here, has anybody fooled around with using Cubasis instead of the onboard Kronos sequencer when connected to their iPad?

Hi Pedja, good to hear from you. I haven't spent enough time with my FA.

Without a doubt the guitar sounds are stronger and will sit nicely in my multi track Songs.

I don't much care for the FA AP's- Kronos is far better. I knew that up front.

Many of the FA synth sounds are fresh and interesting to my ear. The FA does a nice job on orchestral acoustic instruments which is another reason I bought it.

FA has no orchestra type( ensemble to full) combis. Kronos is 100 times better developed on this type.

I like the integration with the Axial site. But I am not initially seeing sophisticated sound development/programming. Roland promised this 2 yrs ago. Its possible that I need to spend more time on Axial.

The 07 has a respectable synth action keyboard. I like it. I would not recommend the 06. If someone had to go budget, there are numerous 06's on eBay.

I still have to set up studio sessions and integrate the FA into my DAW. I am fairly confident this will improve my song recording.

Here are a few gripes. The screen is small. Many of the fonts are also small as a result, as all the details have to be packed in. I don't believe there is an editor.

My reading eye sight is decreasing in strength so I am critical of the use of super small fonts in Kronos and FA. ( i know about the remote app- it does not help the SEQ).
Anyway, I have new reading glasses which helps the problem.

I also think many of the controls should have had LED and light up for faster/easier navigation. I can see this as being a hassle on a poorly
lit stage. Once I develop my ' muscle memory' on the FA, this will be less
an issue.

Swapping sounds using the SD card seems weird to me. I also bought an
inexpensive SD card reader for my mac to help the process.

I am pleased with the price/value of the FA work station. I understood, a larger
screen and LED's would have made it more expensive. As usual, there are tradeoffs.

Thanks for all GregC,
For fast reply and very detail view of Roland FA. I really appreciate this. I saw many video clips about FA line, but I like much, to hear opinion from someone who use this instrument, specially who use a Kronos too.
Best wishes,
