This sounds very interesting:
"The prologue offers an SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows developers to program, customize and extend the capabilities of the multi-engine and digital effects and is expected to be available for download in the spring of 2018. The prologue provides 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots, and users can use the prologue Librarian software (also expected to be available for download in the spring of 2018) to load into their prologue new oscillators and effect programs created by developers with the prologue SDK (Software Development Kit)." _________________ ASM Hydrasynth, Roland Fantom 7, Korg T1, Korg Kross 61, Korg Krome 73, Korg Wavestate, Korg Minilogue XD, Korg Opsix,

A lot of cumputer stuff!
Love the synth and the possibility to load in your own waveforms (and effects!) with the upcoming software, and looking at the price of the 16-voice analog it's absolutely not expensive.
A pity though the motion sequencer of the Minilogue did not find its way into the Prologue, I thought that was a very nice feature of the Minilogue.
Does anyone know how much memory is available for the user wave forms?

Sounds stunning, looks stunning, 4 AND 5 octave full key versions, innovative features, 8 and 16 voice versions.
Korg have listened to everybody - players, brand new synthesists tight on space, ... - and then brought all of their recent R&D into full maturity in a range of packages for different budgets - and even their most expensive option being _very_ reasonably priced.
The most significant move by Korg since OASYS in my opinion.

Looks amazing ... I want one. The user programmable oscillators seem very interesting, will have to see what can be done. This synth might just be a game changer. Well done Korg.
And 61 full size keys! After Touch?

I play with my Minilogue and Arp more than my Kronos. I don't know why I love the Kronos as well but this Prologue is exactly what I had hoped for the year after they released the Minilogue. I'm sold, anyone need to buy a kidney?
That 2-pole filter sounds just wonderful. I've yet to hear a sound demo where the synth sounds harsh or boxy. It is always musical. I've gone back and compared with sound demos from other modern polys and all I can say is damn.

A true successor to the Prophet 5 and OBX-A.
And you know what, such is this development - an analogue polysynth from Korg - I wouldn't be surprised if we see some sort or radicle reinvention of the Workstation by them before too long.
Intriguing times in the synth / keyboard world (and thankfully not ALL about tiny devices any more!).
