We've had this Korg M1 at home since I can remember and my sister used to play it years ago. I remember powering it up about 2 years ago and everything worked fine.
I turned it on today and the top line of the screen (there are two character lines) was just white and the bottom line barely on. I cant see any writting on the screen - it's just light.
I've played with the contrast wheel and no success.
I have opened it in the past many times to change the battery and so i checked the battery and all is good. I obviously checked if there was any obvious loose connections inside but couldn't find any.
There is no sound coming from the M1 either.
Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem? I'd love to get it back in working order

Welcome to the forum.
It could be the power supply has gone bad. That would be the first place to look.
Questions about the M1 might be better posted in the "Korg Synths (General)" section of the forum (but best avoid the similar sounding section "Korg Analog Synths (General)":
