I am learning songs from a teacher on PA900 and typically I video record my teacher and figure out notes/chord from video. Is there a way to save what he is playing and get output of notes/chord somehow?

Have the teacher play the 900 in Sequencer mode. Most likely in Quick record mode if playing a style. That would give you a working recording that you could "pick apart" to the extent you require. If not playing a style Multi track sequencer mode will work as well. You just have to remember, either way, to save each piece he plays and name them each time for access later on. On playback use the "Score Marker" button to access chords played as well as melody line by changing the track numbers below to find (if recorded in Quick Record mode. This is how it works on my PA3Xle. Hope this helps. Smile

I watched video about sequencer mode and quick record and understood recording part but how do I display all notes/chord so I can write down in my book.

On your keyboard just below and to the right of the large value dial are two buttons with a heading that says "Marker". Just below that header the left is marked "lyric" and the right "score". When you engage your recording playback using one of the player controls; touch the button marked "score" and a rolling score will follow the recording. If you can read a score it will all make sense. On the lower right hand corner of the score screen is a tab that indicates which midi channel you are seeing. High lighting a lead channel will show you the melody line. High lighting a rythmn midi channel will give you the chords being played. It is quite a useful tool. Cool
