|
|
Hello from Brooklyn, NY -
I'm the proud and overwhelmed new poppa of a Kronos 2 73.
Is there anyone in the NYC area who is proficient in the nuances of driving this beast and would be willing to give me paid "lessons?" I am dyslexic and learn far easier with a teacher going through things live than trying to decipher the manual.
Any Kronos teachers in my neck-of-the-woods?
Thanks,
LG |

I don't know if this helps but there are a number of very good videos on youtube that are very instructional.

I think your quest for a hands on teacher is the fastest approach to learning Kronos.
Kronos is complex and in total, there is a lot to learn . However, if you are focused on certain goals, you can later concentrate your learning on specific areas.
That way, assuming your teacher is Kronos proficient in that area, he or she can guide you effectively, at that time.
However, Step 1 is really navigation, controls, file system , getting basics with the 6 modes plus a little bite of Karma.
As Geo mentioned, Korg has done a nice job on Utube organizing/presenting the basics and then some _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Thank you for the kind replies. Yep, I guess the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. I am indeed learning the basics as Greg suggested (and checking youtube vids) and will definitely benefit from one-on-one when I find the right person.
In the meantime, anyone have any experience with the "sudosonic" tutorial series? Worth the money beyond what's on youtube?
NICE UN, LG7! You are safe! |

I bought the Sudosonic. I was looking for something more in depth. His stuff would be good for a new user. Everything is in one place. Also- many of the Korg specific operations and nomenclature have been around for years. I started with a Triton studio years ago and there are a number of similarities, such as sequencing. Screens look different but the concepts are the same, much like using a PC. And after all the Kronos is a computer. _________________ "To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."

I hear you. And its an old computer, too
Which is why it should cost $400
Who knew those wood side cheeks would make it expensive ?
