One year without update for Kronos! What's happened with Korg?

If I was a betting man I would say the updates period are done for the Kronos. However there is a chance I could be wrong.

Thats what I was thinking

We needed OS updates to solve bugs. I think almost all of them have been
squashed.

We needed a feature update to handle samples. the quick layer/split was a nice touch.

Its been 6 years. I think the w/s basics are near perfect for a 6 yr old model.

Like most cos, Korg is driven by sales, profit, new product promotion, other platforms like IOS, their other product lines, etc. etc

We had a great long run with Kronos and I appreciate that.

Seven years. The Kronos was announced at NAMM 2011.

Busch.

I have been saying " 6 years' since early 2017.

Got stuck on auto pilot.

Good to be accurate

Don't care much about the updates but if Korg would lower the prices of their darn sounds expansions I am sure they would make a killing but I doubt they are making much with their huge prices they have currently.

I also feel a lot of those expansions should have been included with the Kronos and Kronos X originally with the prices tag they put on the Kronos originally.

Last if there was an update I just wish they would expands the available Banks for the Users. I know for a fact they have plenty of room in the memory allocation and don't understand why they don't expand this mainly many users have asked for this. As it is we don't have a lot of banks to use expansions with.

Maybe they will learn one day but I doubt anytime soon.

.

Many points there.

I think custom Preloads is your solution.

FYI, I buy few 3rd party sample libs because they are not transferrable to another K.

I would like to support the 3rd parties. But the poor non transfer process has to be hurting sales.

The only way to get Korg to listen is with your money. Internet posts, not so much listening. IMO.

My Kronos is fully loaded with 2 hard drives and 2 internal usb thumb drives. I've been trying to upgrade to 3.1.2 and keep getting error: the system update was not successful. Using external flash drive on the back of the keyboard. Why wont it load. No way am I going back under the hood to remove the other thumb drives. Any thoughts

Removing the thumb drives should probably fix that. If no joy, consider disconnecting the second SSD also. Once the update is done, the drives can probably go back.

What else do you need the Kronos to do? .... That could come with an OS update?
