Power supply failure
Hey I disconnected the power cable Kora Pa3X now I do not want to turn on ... I removed the casing and it turned out that the power supply MEAN WELL RPS-75-R4 is damaged ... I wrote an e-mail to the distributor. I got the answer ..

assuming that the model would be called RPS-75-24,
or 24VDC at the exit.
This is a series for medical applications, i.e. it must have small leakage currents. I do not know why he was put in a musical instrument. Does it matter?
In any case, this medical certificate means that the power supply is slightly more expensive than the typical 75W and 24VDC power supply.
I can deliver it in a week.

Will such a power supply match my Korg, because it is different R and what voltage is on the output of the converter? ... I apologize for poor English.

I had the same PSU failure in my Pa3X before 4 years , I disassembled it and replaced burned driver mosfet and SMPS
controller IC, I don't remember it's actual regulated output , but I finally replaced the whole SMPS unit with another SMPS
pack of 19 V /3 A output that had a better design for that purpose , I placed in the same position and works fine until today !
This means that any laptop SMPS PSU adapter of 17-20 V/3A of 30$ , is capable of supplying the next stage Pa3X step-down
power supply regulating module that produces regulated outputs of 12 & 5 V (using just 78xx series IC regulators) for all Pa3X PCB.

There is no actual application for a SMPS PSU ! It can be used everywhere and only specifications will define the best usage.
MEAN WELL for instance has a low indle ST-BY current with low stressed switching operation that provides lower magnetic
field interference so this makes it suitable for audio devices , but this design can't handle major input voltage differentials !

Hope this helps
