This duplicated Songbook and Set lists problem has happened to me twice since I have had my 61 KB (Xmas). I always work from a front loaded USB where I keep all my (direct) songs and KB sets etc.
On start up this morning All the songs in the Songbook were duplicated along with the Set Lists. , some of them had a turquoise edge around STY and some not. I know from the manual that the offending duplicates are internal and can easily be deleted by drop down menu/initialise Songbook but how did the Songbook get itself on an internal memory of some sort in the first place? There was nothing showing on the internal Disk......
To further complicate the issue the duplicated Set lists were, I’m sure, at least a week old!
The only unusual thing I did last night was to copy my Direct set from USB F
To The SD card and rename it.
Advice appreciated

you probably assigned a Set file to the direct folder settings, then the styles but also the songs are added in the songbook. If that direct folder set contains the same songs then every song is available twice in the songbook. One is the normal internal version and one is from the direct folder set, which you can recognise by a colored bounding box around the STY marker.
This can be easely solved by removing the songbook entries from your direct set or empty the internal songbook (as long as they are the same). If you a little bit more experienced you could also export the songbook from internal (by saving it) and open the songbook on your computer with the korg songbook editor and then create a new songbook wich contains the unique items which you can use to replace the songbook in your direct folder set.
It sounds harder that it actually is to be honest. |

Thanks Qui
i think I follow your instructions but , I create or amend songs probably every day in Direct using my USB but the duplicate phenomenon has only happened twice in 6 weeks.
I have always use the same methodology so why do you think it happened in the first place? I never use the load command....
Thanks
