Took me a while but I finally got one. My only regret is not buying it sooner. This is a fantastic little instrument. One of the most fun products I've bought in a long time.
Regards
Sharp. |

I fear that, in the near future, any new System-1 and 8 plug outs will only be supported with a Roland Cloud subscription. Something I won't do as I'm only interested in some of the plug outs. I'm not in the least interested in a JV 1080, D-50 (would sooner buy the boutique D-05 hardware) or things like that. Rumours are that there will not be any new plug outs available any more through the content store. In that case those who won't subscribe to this Roland Cloud will be left behind and have to do with what is there now. |

In retrospect I think Roland's Boutique series makes a lot of sense.
Yes, they're (a bit uncomfortably) small, but then again they are not meant to be full-fledged performance synths, they may not be perfect reproductions, but they sound good, they do not cost much and they can be used in both standalone mode and via USB together with a DAW.
Not a bad idea at all. |
