Kronos has arrived!
It's here! I bought a Korg factory-refurbished unit from Sweetwater (which they sell as "B-stock"). It came double-boxed. There's a check-marked Post-It note on the interior box with someone's initials. I could see no other delivery address labels other than the one from Korg to Sweetwater. The unit looks unmarred, and otherwise pristine—I couldn't detect any visible marks or fingerprints at all. The rubber feet don't show any wear. Now, they could've cleaned-up the unit very thoroughly, or it could be in fact be a brand-new unit! (Most manufacturers re-pack B-stock in specially marked "refurbished" boxes—not in their original boxes—don't know if Korg does this).
The exception was that I purchased a brand new "demo" V-Synth GT from my Roland guy (he had just received a brand new, unopened unit from Roland—it was a "demo" only in name). I bought a B-stock VirusTI keyboard a while back and it also looked brand new when I got it (though it was likely a customer-return).
I'm guessing this K2 was possibly returned from dealer stock (did the platinum units not sell well?), due to the Korg packing tape (which read, "opened for quality-control and inspection"), and otherwise undisturbed internal packaging. There was no screen protector on the screen other than the paper taped to the top of it (this is also how I saw a new Kronos shipped on a YouTube unboxing video).

congrats, exciting day !
You might be up late 2nite
Might also notice that the LCD position is something to get used, to or figure out.
IOW, you almost have to have a sight line over it
Increasing the LCD contrast/intensity in global should help.
FWIW, I prop my 88 up about 10 degrees ( back slightly raised, which helps.
You might be able to guess at sales velocity via the serial #. Last I knew, each model had its own sequence.
How are you for pedals ? The Korg DS1 damper is a must have IMO _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Yes! Very excited, thank you! I'll check the S/N. Damn thing looks brand new! So happy! Yes, I have a ton of Roland sustain/switch pedals. _________________

I like the brushed silver with the G and K. Looks sharp.
My Honda CR-V is the same color. You can't have it, LOL _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Any Fantom G owners successfully slave from their Kronos?
I've set all the MIDI settings correctly (I think), and the Fantom's tempo display only shows three dashes, " - - - " instead of the MIDI tempo set on the Kronos. Any ideas? _________________
