|
|
I am currently using the Pa3X-Le for live gigs and thinking of upgrading soon. The price for a Pa4X-76 (standard or oriental) is at 'not-so-high' levels here in the UK and, therefore, it has recently entered "my radar range"!
I was wondering (and this is where I would like to have your thoughts and suggestions) if I should wait roughly 1.5 years for the 5X (expected by late 2019 as far as I know - please correct), or go for the 4X. I guess the price of the Pa4X-76 is still expected to fall bellow the £2700 (current value).
All comments or ideas are invited!

I would go for the 4x!
Also i doubt the price will fall cause the os is still under development and new features may be added soon to it..
I believe the price will go up but have no info about it , it is just my opinion!
The 4x is already too powerful and its sound is a lot better than any previous model! |

Agree with the other replies here.
Even if the PA5X was released today, I would personally still give it 12 months to "settle" before buying.
As for prices, I would never trust that - the PA4X prices dropped here but have since increased to above the original price but I/m not familiar with price movements in Greece.
Ask yourself why you would want to upgrade - the PA3XLE is awesome but if you are excited about the PA4X new design and features then it may be worth upgrading for you.
Well worth spending a few hours on the PA4X at your local retailer.
Cheers

Yep I spent 30-40 min playing on PA4x 61 keys it was a test keyboard in the Musical store very good keybed, solid keyboard made from high class materials, sounds sooo lovely, new features, new styles, etc. Im with PA2x now but its worth it upgraiding to new flagship of the KORG arrangers may be a little bit later!

There is no doubt. PA4X is the right and only logical decision. About PA5X when it's time. According to this logic then it would be worth waiting for the PA6X ....?! |

Can you afford a Pa4x ? If yes, do you deserve/need it ? If yes, go for it.
Can't afford it ? Keep your Pa3x-Le or, if you really need an upgrade, go for a Pa3x 76. There are still new ones available on the internet.
If you don't bother about the keyboard feel and size, the Pa1000 is also an option.
As long as you wait, your Pa3x-Le is losing more value than the Pa4x price.
It is not too late to buy a Pa4x. Actually, it's the right time since the os has been sufficiently updated. |
