I use an MacBook Air and no CD player on it...

Is there a digital user manual file and video tutorials I can download to my iPad and use it as a reference for step by step instructions with Kronos?

I saw few video tutorials on Youtube regarding Kronos but I had no idea they are official or comprehensive enough and I'd like to download the whole thing from A to Z then keep it infant of me like a reference book to solve the many mysteries offered by Kronos.

Thanks,

The manuals (User Manual, and Parameter Guide) can be found here:

http://www.korg.com/us/support/download/#

Expand the Keyboards section (it can take 20-30seconds for the webpage to download completely) and there are links to all the Kronos flavours there. Again, allow 20-30 seconds for the linked webpages to open fully. The PDF reader search function is extremely useful for locating manual sections of interest.

The youtube tutorials, starting with this one, are "official" from Korg and are present on the DVDs that came with the keyboard:

There are other excellent tutorials on youtube e.g. those of Qui Robinez, but also just watching folks play their Kronos can be useful from a technique, and playing styles point of view.

Thank you guys.

One thing confused me;

Is Kronos and Kronos II are same way software/programming-wise other than cosmetic differences so that manuals doesn't make a difference or did Korg created/updated a newer version manual for Kronos II ?

Software and programming wise the K, KX and K2 are identical. Only K2 comes with some additional sounds, and the location of sounds in the banks are different. That's all. The K2 manual applies to the K and KX (if you keep the OS versions up to date Smile )

Auto power off feature is part of the software but there is the internal hardware side that actually internally flips the rear power switch to off.
The original kronos lacks the hardware to do that even though it may be updated to the latest software that includes auto power off feature in gobal screen page.

This little detail is hardly anything to get in the way of the manuals being very useful.

Hi Jim,

There is also a limited version of the manual on the Kronos itself. If you press the Help button at any time, it will show itself and should help out in many instances.

The on board HELP is very useful. The nice thing about it is that whatever screen you happen to be on, the HELP will jump to that topic. So, if you are on the Sample LOOP EDIT screen, the HELP will display that info.

I also have the manual and parameter guide on my Ipad, via a PDF app.
