On the pa 700 how can you edit sounds so the down sound too muddy.
For example some of the organ presets sound like they need brightning up.

Two methods that I use.
1) In Sound Mode main menu, raise the cut-off value.
This will cut out some of the lower tones but if you raise it too much it will start to sound strange.
2) Use Oscillator EQ.
In Sound Mode, Menu button, Basic, with the last tab (EQ) you can alter the EQ for each oscillator.
In order to know what you are doing you need to listen to each oscillator separately, so use the top right drop down menu and choose Solo Oscillator.
When you are happy with the sound move on to the next oscillator (the numbers at the side).
Sometimes you wont hear the oscillator because it may be limited to a certain velocity range (eg 100-127) so experiment with different key presses*. Some oscillators (more rare) may be triggered by things other than key presses (eg Assignable Switch 1, Joystick, pedal or even legato playing - see Osc Trigger Mode in Osc Basic tab) but you probably don't need to change these ones.
Uncheck Solo Oscillator and listen to the overall sound.
You can also use Compare in the drop down menu to compare your new sound to the original.
Finally use the drop down menu to write your new sound to a User Sound.

(*Another way is to temporarily open up the velocity range in Vel/Key Zone tab but remember to change it back)

I tried changing the values on the macro edit and write the sound. But when I recall the save sounds the changed values in the macro have not changed.

If you change cutoff in the main menu and save it as a User Sound then when you go back to main menu the cutoff will be returned to the centre position but the filter cutoff values for each oscillator has changed.
EQ works differently and your new values will be visible.

So even after youve made changed via the macro edit and save to a user slot. If you go back to the user sound even though the values have been changed it wont show whats been changed in the sound edit screen as everything in the macro edit has been returned to 0

No, but you can see changes that was made with macro-edit in each oscillator separately.

That is because Macro-editing affects Realtime Controls - like you can do with Midi-Controler (Low Pass Filter Cutoff = Brightness cc#74).

If using Macro-Edit in Sound-Edit with changing Cutoff-parameter and saving such a sound from page menue, the parameter "Frequency (Cutoff Frequency A or B)" of each oscillator of the edited sound will be set to 00 or to 99, depending on value (minimum or maximum) of Cutoff-parameter you had set with Macro-editor to Filter-Cutoff.
*
Same occurs with all sound parameters you change and save with Macro-editing - its equivalents you can find in values of each oscillator of sounds you edit in that manner.

How do you edit a patch that you have in "keyboard set library". Can you also save that newly built patch to a style elsewhere?
