|
|
Hello Everybody,
I just received the delivery of Kronos2 88key weighted keys last week.
I am still perusing the official Korg guides and getting a feel of the kronos 2.
All suggestions from more experienced folks are welcome.
Also, I will try to write tips and tricks that I discover.
Best,
Manish |

This is a full fledged computer. Its a pity that they haven't provided a power on/off switch. |

I realize you are not exactly stating this. But I find comparisons of the Kronos to my uncles 8 year old Windows PC to be amusing.
Its a specialized device with a Linux kernel. Powered by common PC components.
The major diff with the K is its OS, plus outstanding and diverse sound programming. And its openness to add specialised 3rd party samples.
Simply , the software is why Kronos cannot be copied/imitated. If it was reasonably possible, it would have been done. If owners are curious, and look under the hood, its the unique software making it possible. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

The Euro models of the Kronos do have a software controlled power off function, in order to comply with Euro energy saving requirements. The main power switch itself contains a motor that physically pushes the switch rocker into the off position. |

I am recalling ( not 100% accurate) a post from Dan Phillips from 2 yrs ago.
True, all Euro K2's required software controlled power off function.
Somewhat later, Korg decided that all new K2s might as well have that useful feature.
So the feature is no longer exclusive to new K2's sold in Europe. As I recall . _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

That's correct, mine has it and I'm in North America. _________________ My Kronos 7 |

I set my auto power off to 4hours and never manually turn off my kronos except to trouble shoot. I leave it on and let the software auto-off function turn it off. Mine is a USA model K2-88. |

Me too. I have a 2017-issue US Kronos 2 and I just let the auto-power off switch do its thing after I fall asleep. It's actually a pretty handy feature since I fall asleep a lot after "creating." _________________
