You can use locking software like USBsecurity and apply a password.
The data is encryption secured.

Cost is:-
1. the encryption software,
2. 100 x USB sticks of your choice.

Cheers

Pete , i m afraid that this is not possible...
If you encrypt through a util like this then the keyboard will not be able to see the encrypted files too . So its something totally different from what korg does..
I had the same Question a while back and i think only your local distributor may be able to answer about the cost of this job..
Also i think that they have stopped supporting usb sticks and they support only sdcards now ..Sd cards can be used on pa600/900/3xle/4x/700/1000...

Hi,

Maybe here is the answer. If I understand correctly, You would like to protect the USB stick from copying the data.

You are wrong.....
All usb sets can be copied, copying is not the problem.

If you want to protect your set you have to lock the samples, which must be unlocked in realtime when a sound is selected, and the usb is supposed to hold the encryption of that.

So all these softwares, are just useles for this purpose....you just don't need to crack them, you just load the set on pa4x,and then Save a new set and vouala, set is unlocked......try it and you will see how easy it is....

Only Korg can lock the usb,or whoever has the code for that

Another solution is to protect your set via a custom Os' ,like Anthony does.

"Custom OS"? There's only one official OS. Are you sure there are other Korg-approved variations?

As far as i know it's the official Os ,tweaked ,and is made for each specific keyboard, according to it's serial number and/or mainboard serial, you have to ask Anthony more details about it

Well I'm really not interested in coding details at all. Obviously it's a "tweaked" version. What I'm saying is this is NOT a Korg approved OS that they make available to developers. That's what I meant. In fact by loading any OS other than the one provided by Korg you void the warranty.

Now if you contact Korg as a developer and they sell or provide you with such a protection system, then that's legit.

Only KorgPa software developers and any third-party developer that has been provided the source code ,
encryption algorithm and utility software (under NDA contract) , can protect PCM in storage devices !
Lately the SN based encryption has been applied also by Korg at mSD media.
As Musicankill said , no USB software encryption will work with Pa OS !
This frequent question has no meaning to recall it from time to time ... if somebody is interested for
commercial Set circulation , must contact directly with Korg Italy !

Hope this helps
