Does anyone know if I can get a funky Clavinet sound with wah wah from pa4x. Kind of like Stevie Wonder. |

You can if you choose a clavinet sound and add a wah wah effect to it . You have one of the most flexible workstation arranger keyboards on the planet . Have you tried experimenting with the effects ?
If you don’t know how to , then I can help you by pointing to the manual . But have a go first and see what you can create . |

Hi Worth,
Many thanks for your reply. It was a help just by saying there was a Clavinet on the pa4x.
I had been looking only at the physical buttons just above the keys.
Then I looked at the sidebars on the screen ..... then I discovered touching the choices on the screen.
So much to learn for my 73 year old brain.
I think I will have to print the User Manual ..... 1100 pages of it! I guess only 550 pages if I get it printed double sided.
Many thanks. I will press on from here.
Kind regards |

Hi Johnmak
I printed the manual, yes 1103 pages plus 48 for the songbook editor.
It is in my opinion worthwhile ( I to am nearly 71 ) but I suggest you have it printed on 120g paper as it is more robust. By the way when printed it filled three ring binders
Best wishes

Hi Keith,
Wow, 3 ring binders. That is a serious print job.
In one way I’m lucky that I’m living in Vietnam. Printing is so cheap and it can be bound into books - really nice. I’m just looking for good places to break the books.
Many thanks,
JohnMak |

Choose clavi 1 or 2 and then look at pages 158 through to 172 and beyond about which effects you can add to the the sounds. The effects list is on page 562. I hope that helps .
I have huge respect for you taking on this awesome instrument at such a young age 😉.
You won’t need another keyboard fir a long time . I have the Korgpa1x that I have had for over 10 years and am still enjoying when I do smalll gigs at work . I can’t imagine needing another instrument now I have the 4x
Regards

Hi Pete was that the Sunday 28 jan message ? I received that but you had already answered all the queries I had at the time so did not think I needed to respond . Sorry about that 😉.
I have successfully transferred all my sequenced songs to my new board thanks . I am just making my way through the instrument whenever I can find some extra time . It’s a huge step up technically from the pa1x that’s for sure. But I am managing well enough 😅
Thanks again for your help my brother . |

Hi Johnmak
Just a suggestion, I would not bother to get the pages bound, as ,if the manual is amended it may be possible to insert the amended pages into the ring binders.
Regards

Create an STS of :
Up1= Clav Wah,Up2=clav GM, and set volumes at 100 and
Tuning at -2Oct for both ,
detune at +1 and -1.
Do a panpot of R+15 and L-15
Last step is to aply any FX you want ,and you are ready!
Hope it helped _________________
