Hi guys,
Does korg pa1000 load sets made for korg pa800 ?
I assume it should since it has more ram, but just wondering if anyone tried it yet.
Waiting for a clarification.

You can load the Sounds and the Styles, although the latter will have to be tweaked more often than not.
The Performances, PA800's strongpoint can and cannot be loaded, that is you can load them into the Keyboard Set Library buttons, but in the end they will only reproduce ( and not even that all the time) the settings you had made on your PA800 for Uppers 1,2,3 and Lower and NOT THE STYLES !!!

Maybe some tweaking is needed, but most of the styles and performances (= KBD SETS) will do fine.
I use a lot of PA800 styles in my PA4X without any problem.
I think this will be the same with PA1000, as it is almost the same OS and resources.

There are some very good styles in the 'old' resources.
For instance 'Rock 6/8' (PA800) is quite different than '6/8 Rock' in PA4X.
For some songs it just suits better.

Thank you Frans, but once again I would like to emphasize that yes, you can load most Sounds and Styles from the older PA series including the PA800 but you will often have to tweak and NO you can not load the old Performances the way you did with the PA800 that is when you load those into the Keyboard Sets you will NOT get the original styles as programmed with the Performances at the time you did so with your PA800.

I have just set out to create a complete new set of JS Resources for the Korg PA1000 which should take me the best of three months. I hope to have things ready by the end of May and will keep you posted.
