I am a newbie and I hope this is a simply question.

I recorded a sequence, saved the song to a USB drive, but now I want to import all of those midi files into Studio One. Is there any way to sync the Pa700 to a DAW other than just recording the audio? Basically I want to use the Pa as my backing band recording all tracks into my DAW and then record guitars, vocal etc in the DAW.

You do not need a DAW you can do all you want with the 700.

So you are saying there is noway to get your finished songs into a DAW...?

you may save the song in .mid (midi) format in an USB and import the file (midi) to your DAW from the USB; the DAW (software) will load all the channels individually at a time. Then you can change the instruments (VST) if you need.

Not saying that at all, saying you can do it all in the Korg.

I cannot advise if you can send the Korg data into a DAW successfully as I have not tried it, but it is quite likely that the data you send may need tweaking within the DAW, in just the same way importing a MIDI in your Korg may sound different to when you play the MIDI on your computer.

MIDI files can be imported and converted into a Style but again some tweaking may well be necessary.

I am using Cubase.
First i will sequence (play) the channel/track in the keyboard, then start play from keyboard and record the same to cubase and it will be saved in WAVE format in my cubase project. So, the keyboard tone will be change.

Hi I use Sonar as a DAW,

DO as much as you can on the PA700 save it a Memory stick
import into Sonar and with your Pa700 hooked up to your PC running Sonar

You should be able to replay your midi file back into your PA700 ,

I have managed to add Automation of the volume levels of the midi tracks I need and save in Sonar.

I would make any alterations or additions you need in Sonar and save them and do not do anymore on the PA700 as this will wipe out any alterations you have made in Sonar if you re-save it again on the PA700

I briefly tried Studio One without much success on the midi side of things
