Hey all,

Hope you're well. I have been learning how to sample and so far, so good. I'm in a new band and created a directory for the sounds I will be using in that band. I managed to sample a noise and save it to the SSD.

The directory and the sampled sound are right next to each other in the list when I hit disk mode.

My question: How do I move the sample into the directory?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Welcome to the forum, jeddy. I'm guessing you're a Rush fan like myself?
Cool

The short answer to your question: you'll want to convert each (multi) sample into a program. From Sampling mode, go the upper right drop down and select Convert MS to program.

That will work right away, and you can use the sample within combi or program to trigger each sample as needed during a song. But, and this is a big one, you must take extra steps to save everything properly in order for this to work every time your restart your Kronos. Otherwise you will have "samples not loaded" when you try to play your sample from within a combi.

Here's a detailed video tutorial by one of two of our former expert forum members:

Hi Psionic,

I am indeed a Rush fan of old, but the Jeddy 3 is a reference to a song by Grandaddy!

I have already converted my sample to to a program. I must've saved everything in the right order coz it all works well.

What I'm referring to is the list in DISK mode. You can create directories (or folders) in this mode and save your samples in an organized fashion. I just don't know how to put the files in the folders. Eek, the easiest thing in the world on a computer lol

On the Utility page, the upper right drop down menu has Create Directory

if the files already exist on your SSD, Copy/paste seems to be the only way.

Not aware of any ' drag and drop ' on the interface/UI.

I have't seen a Cut command, only a Copy, Paste, and Delete. They're found in the upper right dropdown menu after you've switched to the UTILITY tab and selected a file or folder/directory.
