|
|
Hi all
I've just replaced the battery in my beloved M1 and (eventually) restored the factory presets. The MIDI files came from the official Korg website.
All seems ok but I can't help thinking that some sounds sound less 'bright' than others. The Piano is one, this can be cured by playing with the VDA settings etc but on default it seems slightly 'duller' than I remember.
The Organ 2 however, sounds exactly like it did when I first got it.
I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but the Piano sounds quieter than other sounds.
Anyone come across this issue before? What could be causing it?
Thanks in advance |

Hola! I actually just got my first M1, but from listing to the sounds from way back, the factory pianos always did seem a little warm and dull. In a way I felt that was a part of their charm. Then again, if you're hearing the sound as abnormally dull, that could be a different issue that I haven't encountered.
I knew I was also going to want some brighter piano sounds. I found one set of programs (link below) that added a lot of character to the pianos. You may want to give that a try as well.
