|
|
Hi all
My Korg Kronos 2 (61 Key, v3.2.1) has been getting the "System startup failed, please remove USB and try again" message about every 6th startup.
I opened it up tonight to see if it was there was issue with the ram being unseated. It had a single 4gb ram, that seemed to be inserted fine. I took it out anyway and placed it in the other open slot, and to my surprise I now receive "System has failed to startup" every single time!
So, I opened it up again, moved it back, and it started up fine. I haven't received the error message yet, but I don't have too much hope as nothing changed.
Why would moving the 4gb ram to the other slot make it fail every time? And does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks!! |

Pre-owned, immaculate condition, and bought recently. It's within warranty so I know I'll likely be shipping it back for a replacement. |

I guess you are saying you bought it used from a retailer within the past 30 days . And you have return/refund privilege ? I can't tell from your post.
BTW, you can't go by ' looks '. Thats cosmetic. Its all about whats inside.
Given what you are reporting, I would not hesitate to bring it back. I wouldn't fool around with it and try DIY. By messing around with the inside , you could risk getting a free or equitable replacement.
It appears to me , you have a problem used Kronos. If so, I would be quite annoyed at the retailer for fobbing it off on you. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

I had the same problem and I replaced the SSD. That solved the problem. |

Thats good info.
Did your local Korg service center ( or SW service if purchased in US from them)
diagnose the issue as a bum SSD ? _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8
