One question on this -

Which Standard Kit 1 are people using?
I see a "Standard Kit 1" under Factory -> Drums and SFX, page 5, and a "Standard Kit1 XG" under GM/XG -> Drum, page 2.

Which one seems to work better?

I hope someone can make a new GM set with factory legacy korg sounds and samples to share it or sell
