I almost exclusively use the M3 in program mode. I only use the sequencer for dumping MIDI data from a Roland PMA-5 to get it on a USB stick. I NEVER use the Combis because I do alot of multitracking to samplers and DAWs. Also, I don't use the M3M to play live, and I don't need the M3M to provide me with a backing band.
Not using the sequencer much is understandable because I have much better standalone sequencers, but am I missing a unique function of the Combis? I see potential there for something, but the way I always see Combis demonstrated they seem to me to be nothing more than a glorified Casio keyboard backing track. It's an entire section of the M3M that so far has been completely useless to me.
Any suggestions for alternative use of Combis? |
