I have a Korg Krome and my sustain pedal won't work. this pedal didn't come with the keyboard but is a universal pedal. Would that make a difference? If not
I went into Global inputed my pedal in the damper and put the CC#66 in the space I got nothing ...

Provided the pedal is a simple on/off switch type and is plugged into the Damper jack socket, then all that needs to be set in Global is the damper polarity. If that doesn't work, then check at the jack plug that the pedal is making contact as it should, by using a multimeter.

MIDI CC#66 is a special case, for sostenuto, so the end result is quite different to sustain.

Thank you for the response!! .. So I'm in global and my sustain pedal is plugged into Damper... Foot Switch is assigned damper #cc64..my FOOT pedal assign is cc#04 ...damper priority is - (minus) foot switch priority is also a - (minus) .. Is this the correct setting for the sustain pedal?

If the sustain pedal is working correctly as a simple switch, and is plugged into the Damper jack socket, then the only thing that needs to be set in Global is the damper polarity. If one polarity doesn't work, try the other polarity. When you find the setting that works, save the Global settings using the Write Global Setting from the dropdown menu at top right. The Foot Switch and Foot Pedal assignments can both be set to "Off". The Damper is effectively "hard wired" internally to CC#64. The user has no choice.
