|
|
I bought a KORG Kross1 a few months ago and being newbie to the synth setup, trying to get hold of it. As I was trying to edit the KROSS GRAND PIANO with basic tone adjustment, I found none of the parameters have any effect on the tone. I tried listening minutely with both headphones and monitors. What could be the problem?
*P.S - previously I had an Yamaha PSR I455. I liked the piano tone of the same, and somehow I don't find the KROSS piano tones that rich. Can somebody suggest me some filters or patch to enrich the piano tone?
Thanks in advance! |

Hi,
Which basic tone adjustments were you trying?
Concerning the enrichment. That's going to be a tough one I think. What exactly do you mean by that?
All piano programs are based on 5 piano samples. The engine allows you to change attacks, releases, filters and so on these samples, but that typically does not enrich the sound. It alters it and changes the emphasis in some way. I mean you can not modify the sound from e.g. the upright piano sample to sound like a steinway concert piano.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

By basic tone adjustment I mean cutoff, resonance, EG intensity, Attack, decay etc.
Recently I tried loading the bonus piano tones and there I found classic piano, which I like. I think I was searching for something which is having more bass and punch.
Thank you for your suggestion. |
