Kronos - I inherited the task of figuring out how to be capable of rearranging numerous sequences (which happen to be whole songs). By the time I got the workstation, several sequences (songs) were placed in a single SNG file. There are 5 SNG files with sequences (songs) in them. Can't figure out how to get all my sequences free so I can rearrange them at will. Right now I can only rearrange them within a particular SNG file. Does FTP give me that kind of freedom? Or do I have to take the LOOOONG route?

I don't know.
Whats the long route ? Likely what i suggest. Load your big Song file,
lets say 5 songs.
Cut away 4 songs , keep 1. Save it as a new File name.
Go back to your big song file, continue etc
Etc etc _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Long route would be saving all to midi, build the template of the song elsewhere, then reapply the midi file to the template in the new location. |

I think it would be less steps than fussing with midi files.
I am assuming that your Kronos Songs have FX , for example, that are Kronos specific.
Anyway, good luck, with breaking it down and re-saving. Maybe set up Directories to have structure on the project _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Open each SNG file until you see the individual songs. Select one you like and LOAD it. Open another file. The next song you like, LOAD it. When you see the pop up screen that shows APPEND or CLEAR, select APPEND. Keep loading and appending songs until you have a group that you like. Now, SAVE that SNG file.
You can do this with programs, combis, wavesequences, etc. Just open up a file and select just the items you like. |

Tried your method Mike. Only I never came across the append/clear screen.
Just went into a SNG file, "opened" it
Picked and "loaded" a song to "song 00"
Picked and "loaded" another song to "song 01"
Hit "UP" to view another SNG file and "opened" it
Picked and "loaded" a song to "song 02"
Picked and "loaded" another song to song 03, etc.
Saved it all to a new named file and VOILA!
I can see how I can do a song order at will this way! Thanks everybody! |

Right here:
Append is really useful for when you are loading an entire SNG file. It will keep all your current songs intact, while adding a whole new group of other songs to them. |
