There must be a word for it that I don’t know... When an accordion player plays rapid repeated notes or chords by pumping the bellows in and out, like Zydeco or some Polka players do. How would you approach this on a Kronos?

I’m thinking live with a band... no sequence or backing tracks. Closest I’ve come is using a split with the same patch and note range under each hand so you just alternate left and right on 16th notes or whatever to get that quick rhythmic throbbing. Has anybody tried to do something similar?

Sounds like strumming type of dynamics.
Karma has a strum pattern suite and you can tweak the strumming to match the repetition scheme you want.
Usually for guitar programs but i see no reason why not to try it on accordian sounds.
Never done it myself but it comes to mind, and if i had kronos with me here, i would try it out. I guess i can try to put you up to it to see what happens and then hope you leave us some info about how it went.

A "bellows shake". I usually just play it alternating hands. The split idea is a good one, karma could be interesting, also could use delay.

Hello

IVe learned techniek when I studies accordeon
Imho with the bellowshake you don,t have ŕ real new attack
It sounds more like an echo just als loud
It seems to me that you must use an effect

Thanks for the replies. I wonder if we could get someone to make a midi "bellows controller?"

It would also work great with that "Blast Furnace" patch I've been working on!

Now I got myself curious. I have a USB MIDI Breath Controller like this: http://www.tecontrol.se/products/usb-midi-breath-controller

I'm thinking about trying to connect it to a little fireplace bellows like this: http://a.co/0vXirAX

I'm pretty sure I would be the only guy in town using a contraption like that.

Hello

Why don’t you try to install the dedicated accordion sound pack EXs 175

Here is a link for demo:

https://shop.korg.com/Kronos/EXS-175

After download and installing, check the program from 0 -10 ( effect you may look for is under SW2); programs with higher numbers have such effect after pushing the Joystick all the way backwards.
