Dear Friends
I have a lot of styles from my previous Yamaha s910 and would like to convert them to my PA4x. I would appreciate your advice how to achieve that. I was trying to find MAC version of the Style Work software for my MacBook Pro but invain

Yep the program for converting is STYLE XT UNIVERSAL but PA3x/PA 900, PA 600. PA300/ is the latest Style format which is supported no PA4x format!

Hi,
that´s not easy to do...
If the 910 had the possibility to export styles as MIDI ( like PA4X can do it ) it would be more or less easy. But the 910 doesn´t support this.
The only way to do it is to use "CASM-Editor" for splitting the "musical"-part from the "technical"-part. Then you could import it into the PA4X.
BUT : The CASM-Editor works only up to Tyros2 , so most probably not with PSR 910. And : It´s for PC, not for MAC...
Anyway, it would sound very bad... you´ll ned more than a few minutes to adapt one style in that way that it sounds not like "out of a trash can" ( like most "style works converted" styles do... ).
The internal structures are much too different to make a good ! converting work... _________________ Greetings from East-Frisia, Germany

Hi
"a lot of" KORG styles have been converted to Yamaha Styles.
How do they realized this operation ?
Is there no way to take the same procedure but on the other way ? |

Hi,
converting from Korg to Yamaha seems to be easier, indeed.
Because Korg can export complete styles as MIDI... _________________ Greetings from East-Frisia, Germany

If you can convert the yamaha style to midi you can use the midi 2 style bot in your Korgs. _________________ Gem Wk4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Korg Pa50sd, Tyros 4, Korg Pa700 |
