Hello:)
So I have just bought an Korg Kross 2-61-RDM. It looks beautiful, it's hilariously small as a total, it's awesome. But I need help with a few things, to get to know it, cause manuals are crap and basic.
Need to know: I play in a Nightwish tribute band, and I am trying to transition from a Korg N364 to the new Kross 2. Several of the most basic functions I NEED on a gig ellude me:
1. Quick changing combis:
I use several combis for a single song, and I need to change them fast in the song (different tones + transposes). I use an asignable pedal for "UP", and I can use the arrow for "DOWN", but sometimes I need to JUMP on a specific tone. For ex.: I am at Combi 66, 1 sec break in the song, I need to push 62 fast and play. Since the Kross 2 doesn't have a number pad, like the rest of the bunch, is it possible to REASSIGN the PADS to ACT as number select? So i can push 6-2 and it would change to Combi 62? I need a number pad switch quite badly for the gigs. I use over 100+ sounds for 17 songs alone...
2. Cannot change BANK:
The BANK button does not do anything, BANK A remains highlighted:(
3. Cannot find Flaut and Harpsichord sounds in Prog mode
4. Cannot disable the BLOODY RYTHM they have put in combi's, I have a 5 member band, I am not a bloody DJ, I need no wedding rythms to start playing
5. Is there a way to "COPY+SAVE" a custom WAVE file into the Kross2 to be played at the PAD touch?
Those are my initial problems, I have to create all the sounds all over again anyway from the ground up, I should be able to figure out how to combine progs in Combis and set them specific Transpose, tune, effect, and volume levels...
Thanks for the help in advance:)

Re question #4). For disabling the rhythm on any Program or Combi, use the Arp and/or Drum buttons to toggle off those parts, then write the Program or Combi to save the changes. It will need to be done for every Program or Combi, but once done, the changes will persist.

Then make a backup of the Programs and Combis.

Q5 - there is a Pad Audio Play function described in the Kross 2 Operations Guide, page 109. The audio files should be WAV format 16-bit 44.1 or 48kHz stereo.

Q3 - use Adobe Acrobat reader's search function to lookfor flute and harpsichord in the Kross 2 Voice Name List document.

Welcome to the world of Klingon which is the Kross 2 manual.

1 create a seperate combi for each of the variations you need and assign each to the pads with Favourite selected, cannot comment on using footswitch to control

2 Press Favourites then Press Bank, repeating pressing Bank will scroll through

3 flute and harpsichord are there

4 You need to edit the Rythmn in the Combi, select the Combi to edit and its quite a way along the Tabs

5 not tried it but the Kross 2 handles WAV files, see page 102 of the manual. Page 96 explains about using the Pads, importing and creating samples.

Hope this helps
