The K is in the control room and no matter what position I move it to, the par cans in the ceiling hit the screen and reflect with great enthusiasm, to the point that it becomes a bit blinding after a while.
I'm sure stage lights offer similar problems. How do you guys handle the glare of bright lights off the touch screen? At the moment I'm laying my micro fiber cloth on it. Hoping someone has a more elegant solution. _________________ Studio: Cubase 13 | Windows 10 | Yamaha TF5 | Mackie MCU | CMC AI, QC

you are right, the LCD does not like light
You can mess with contrast in Global.
Some K owners elevate tilt the back higher, lets say 15 degrees to provide some angle.
Others use an iPad app. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Yeah, it's not a matter of contrast or screen readability, it's going snow blind from the brightness of the par reflection punching a hole in my eyes. _________________ Studio: Cubase 13 | Windows 10 | Yamaha TF5 | Mackie MCU | CMC AI, QC

I get it. Comparable to sun glare.

Daytime running light glare, but on a larger scale!
Several possibilities spring to mind.
Search for "iPad anti glare". May be sufficient, but will reduce readability slightly.
Use a patio/beach umbrella and stand. Works for outdoor gigs.

Try some indirect lighting in your room. As a glasses wearer I struggle with glare. I use indirect lighting when ever possible and it works very well. I just bought on of those floor lamps that looks like it's made from paper.

It has a casual look and the lighting is distributed very evenly without glare.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
Has anyone tried those stick on screen protectors? I'm wondering if there's a brand that provides anti-glare benefits without interfering with the functionality of the touch screen. _________________ Studio: Cubase 13 | Windows 10 | Yamaha TF5 | Mackie MCU | CMC AI, QC
