|
|
I've used an Ethernet adapter in one of the USB ports for quite a while to manage files on the Kronos.
The adapter is a Plugable USB2-E100, that runs at 100 mbps. My switch confirms that the link is at 100Mbps.
Since I've installed it, the process of downloading a PCG took just a few seconds - I hardly noticed it, and never thought about testing the speed.
Recently, the speed has dropped significantly. Now the measured throughout flatlines at 7.5 mbps. It takes over 30 seconds to transfer a PCG.
Can anyone think of any reason for this slowdown? I've tried restarting the Kronos, and disabling and re-enabling the network. Speedtest to the Internet from the computer running the FTP client is over 800 mbps up/down, so it is not the computer side.
Given that the physical rate of USB 1 is about 12 mbps, is it possible that something is causing the Kronos USB port to be limited to USB 1? Is there a way to verify or diagnose? _________________ Kronos2 73, Presonus StudioLive, Cakewalk / Sonar Platinum, Windows 10 |
