HI,
why do I not hear my smartphone connected to the mini jack 3,5mm Line in through my PAAS speakers ? Fortunately I thought to make a check from the headphone before sending everything back and this works. I suppose (hope) it's just a setting but i didn't change anything as I'm overwelmed with the setting possibilities of the instrument.....
I think a simple thing like this should work without changing any settings
(The first time i connected the PAAS I didn't have any sound from the PAA4X, the second time it worked.......)
thanks for any advice |

Hi,
You will probably find your answer in this thread:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=112944&highlight=
In particular, my post from Mon Dec 18, 2017 6:46 pm.
Basically, the Audio In setting of the Global: Audio & Video page has to be set to "Line" (as opposed to "Mic") to hear the input from the mini jack.
Cheers
Simon. _________________ Pa4X-76 (Int). Previously: Triton Pro, i5m, 01/W |

Thanks I did find it after a couple of searches but this is absolutely not coherent. Why does it work over headphones ?
It's like you have too less contacts on the PA4x to trasmnit the micro and the line-in to the PAAS. The PAAS are not cheap and neither the PA4x! |

I was surprised and disappointed as well... No rational design explanation I can think of for this choice of behavior. _________________ Pa4X-76 (Int). Previously: Triton Pro, i5m, 01/W |

Dead sdridentity,
Many thanks for that tip. It has solved the problem so my wife is happy. (She uses my expensive keyboard as her music system when I’m not here!)
I looked everywhere in this arcane manual - especially under the heading INPUTS and it says nothing about this. Maybe I need to be Italian to follow their logic.
Anyway, sdridentity, I am so grateful for your help. This Forum is really wonderful.
I wonder if I’ll have to go into GLOBAL again when my microphone arrives and I want to use that.
Kind regards,
Johnmak |

Hi everbody,
any ideas if the issue that you have to choose between line in and mic over the PAAS system is solved with OS 3.0 or is it a hardware issue?
