Hi I would like Korg to introduce more ensemble settings ...as they have not advanced since the pa1x
Having looked at the Yamaha which they call -Harmony- and there are lots, I would like on the Korg say ..trio ,country ,4 way close, 4 way open, and most of all strum, which replicates an authentic George Shearing sound..Please Korg just these would be a help …. |

The Yamaha Harmony is reworked in the Genos the first time - the T-series have similar Ensemble-types like the PA. With a little amount of time you can realize such effect (like the string quartet e.g.) in the PA4 by using the ensemble-functionality and changing the polyphony of the parts to mono left and right to trigger the lowest/highest notes. I think siebenhirter has written something about that.
The biggest drawback of the Yamaha-harmony is the only-use of strumming in reference to the tempo. That can be realized in the Korg-world with a style or pad and a guitar-mode-based pattern.
If you want to use the strumming totally free you won´t be sucessful even with the Genos.
Only the Roland G70 has a wider flexibility like virtual instruments like RealGuitar2: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H_UcHkZynew.
It could be helpful if you describe your desired use of the ensemble-functionality. _________________ hear me on http://soundcloud.com/mohnfeld and http://soundcloud.com/ohrenfutter or https://soundcloud.com/tim_m-1 |
