Of course. No restrictions.
There are a few other sounds in this set that might require some further explanation. The Strum Guitars function a little differently dependent on whether you hold down an Assignable switch or not. For general strumming (rolling a chord) is legato playing activated so sounds more like strumming a guitar. If you hold down Ass 1 then rolling a chord will revert back to equal volume for subsequent notes rather than the subdued strum effect - good for picking out individual notes. Most of the other sounds also use Ass Switches and other controls so try experimenting.
For the pedal Guitar try holding down Ass 1 and using Joy or ribbon at the same time. _________________ Free SoundFonts: https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/

Thank you John. I really like your sounds. I'll definitely give this try. My previous 'Country Style' attempts failed miserably. Maybe these sounds will help me redeem myself! _________________ Sam

A couple of "country" hints.
Try the Quickstep style. Slow it down to about 100 bpm. It makes a great slow country ballad.
There is a Foxtrot with walking bass, I forget the name. Change the drum kit and change style parts from brass to guitars.
One of my favorite styles is
Bar Country. Use if for a LOT of songs,
Friends in Low Places
Lodi
Tulsa Time
etc.
Be careful with variation four as it gets really busy.
Country Ballad 1 is good for Rainy Night in Georgia, Old Troubadour, Old Violin...
Country Ballad 2 for Help Me Make It Through the night, Always On My Mind,Walk Through This World With Me, many more. Slow it down to 80 or 76 for a lot of ballads. Speed it up to 106 for Silver Wings, Grandpa, Luckenbach Texas . . . The default Pads are very good, adding piano, guitar, pedal steel--very tasteful.
You may know these, but maybe not. _________________ DonM |

Ok great! I'm definitely going to look into all this. I used to work for a publisher that did a lot of pop and country. I was the score editor but I never actually played what I edited.
On a separate note, is there a good solo piano video of anyone doing a legit country song....and actually make it sound country? Sometimes YouTube makes you kiss so many frogs that you just forget about it. If I find some good solo performances, I might be able to bulldoze my way through the keys without sounding so out of character! _________________ Sam

By the way , I'm under development of WavesArt Kronos EXs library virtual Pedal Steel Guitar ,
do you believe that it would be a useful tool for PaSeries arrangers in order to create a smaller DNC2 version ?
Would you be interested for such a Pa4X/Pa1000 authentic sound ?

Yeah I do. It is the essence of a lot of country tunes (even if only in "background" mode. |

Thanks to Reuban for the download of a pedal steel.
Has anyone got a good Hawaaii guitar sound they could download for me. the Korg one is pretty rubbish compared to the one I've heard on the Yamaha Genos.
Thanks,

The Pa700 would also benefit from a pedal steel _________________ Gem Wk4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Korg Pa50sd, Tyros 4, Korg Pa700 |

It should work fine on the Pa700.
Here's another little trick for the dedicated Pedal Steel player.
With my sound loaded, Transpose down 2 semi-tones then play with your finger placed at the far right-end of the Ribbon Controller, sliding it away and back to the far right end.
This way its easier to be exactly on the correct tuning when using the Ribbon.
Also try this with Assignable 1 held down. _________________ Free SoundFonts: https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/
