I googled, youTubed my question. Not finding it.

I am working on Bass Guitar Programs , in Program mode.

Many of the Programs have multiple Karma Scenes , up to 8.

In Program mode, its easy to switch scenes , press any button, 1-8,
in the row titled Mix/Play/Mute - Karma Scenes

Only 1 module is used, Module A.

When I copy the entire Program into the SEQ, not so easy.
I only get 1 scene. Lets say its a new Song, # 000

I can see the conflict. SeQ wants to control the same 8
buttons, for midi channels 1-8 in the new Song.

I want to have all 8 scenes to play the various Karma Scenes
for Bass Guitar Program.

I thought I could copy in Scene 5 ( for example) in Midi
Channel 2 ( like having a 2nd bass guitar part) . And
have Channel 2 as a the same Bass Program.

Not working.

Whats a good way to bring all the Karma scenes into the SEQ ?

I have a dumb work around. I have 2 Songs (000, 001) in SEQ mode.
I can play my Scene 5 in Song 001, then copy measures from
001 into 000. Seems awkward .

Copying the Program into Combi mode gives the same result-
Only 1 Karma scene, same button conflict( I guess) in that mode.

Appreciate your help on this. Thanks

Greg

Greg , although I do not use Kronos SEQ , taking a brief look at you case , I can tell you the following using Combinations , since
I do not use Karma in Programs :
- Creating a new SEQ via "Copy from Combi" (IMO this is the best option for Karma Scenes) , all Karma settings/scenes were working
perfectly , using very complex Karma settings I use for WavesArt premium libraries.
- Copying Karma setting in an already existing SEQ with initialized Karma using "Copy Karma Module" option from specific Combi , I checked
all boxes and copied all A to A up to D to D.
In this case I had to manually set MIDI I/O settings and also set Karma switches for each Karma Scene , but it was a matter of less than a minute.
- Kronos Program interface is very poor in order to support Karma scenes (just 2 OSC max) , so IMO you have to create COMBI with multi-tasking
guitars Karma scenes and then recall them for sequencer use.
- If I were you , I would use the first option and then I would had transferred all midi tracks from existing Song.

Hope this helps

I just tried this, I'm not sure what the problem is.

Program C081 Deep Finger Bass - has 8 different KARMA Scenes.

I went to Seq, new Song. Copy from Program C081, check the "with KARMA" box.

Turn on KARMA. Change the Control Assign Mode to RT Knobs/KARMA. Change the KARMA Module Control Layer from "M" to "A" (since each module has its own control layer).

Now play it and change Scenes. They all seem to be there.

Hi Antony, thank you for looking into my case.

You are 100% correct. If I copy a Combi, into the SEQ. I get all the
benefit of the 'under the hood' Karma programming, all scenes, etc.

No problem with that, assuming I want to start in Combi mode.

I think I cracked the code, finally, when copying from Program mode to SEQ.

After copying(all) the Program in, In SEQ mode, I need to press 2 little buttons:

-move module control from " M " ( which is not Mustard, its manual) to
"A"

- press or activate the RT Knobs/Karma button.

My eye sight is not the greatest, so the tiny teeny labels under the buttons
didn't jump out and bite me, which is preferable for me. Smile

Hi Stephen, thanks for posting. I finally stumbled into the extra 2 steps
required in SEQ mode.

I am set for imminent fame and fortune Smile

Usually preset Karma settings in a single Program that you had built your RT scenes are based on settings of A module
that's why I mentioned before to copy all A up to D Karma module settings and also RT Knobs tab is the essential
button of real time controlling of your scenes ... glad that you have finally found all !

Also I want to thank Stephen for being always present and helpfull for all forum members !
