So this is the video i have been watching.
https://youtu.be/gvV9KA4a4UA
Seems to me Omnisphere has been upgraded to use external hardware interface. So far i have seen only hardware in terms of analog synths.
How far will it go with kronos?
Just the traditional synth parameters?
I guess it does not matter so much since Kronos is designed to do similar such that if omnispehere does not use parts of Kronos hardware, Kronos can be set up to make itself control Omnisphere.
I bet Omnisphere takes it further than Kronos does.
But maybe not if no full workstation features in Omispehere.
Any insights wanted
thanks. |

Omnisphere HW interface is a kind of concept of a) advanced MIDI learn + b) predefined MIDI mapping templates to some HW synths that act as control surfaces + c) some HW specific patches that kind of emulate that synth.
Kronos does not have a classic physical synth control surface (like dedicated knobs/buttons for osc, filters, ADSR etc) so pairing with Omnisphere in that level does not make sense.
Currently, public Beta Omnisphere 2.5 supports only Minilogue from Korg family. _________________ Korg KronosX/Pa4x/M3 • Ableton • Komplete 13 • Omnisphere • soundcloud.com/allandd |
