Is there a way to change programs without changing the tempo

Thanks for reading...

I wanted to use the MK as the master tempo and sync an external beat (software drums in Ableton Live). But if the tempo changes when I change programs, it won't be usable in live play.
I know I can just do the opposite, but I'd prefer to use the MK's tempo knob if possible.

Any ideas?

Nope, the tempo is not a global parameter, but a parameter per program.
What you can try is to put all the programs you use in the same tempo and save over. But probably this is not what you're looking after.
And even then, there might be small hickups when changing the program.

I would look for some other device that can be used as master and having a handy tempo knob.
