I have the KRONOS 2 but want to delete all the KRONOS installed presets and set it up as if it was the OASYS Workstation.

Can an OASYS owners very kindly upload the PRELOAD KSC, PCG or any OASYS files so that I can set up my KRONOS as if it were an OASYS.

I know that theres a few patches already that exist such as Oasys Piano but want to set up the internals as if I was playing the OASYS.

not directly.

I believe what you are searching for is Oasys Factory PCG file or the Oasys Preload.

It might be on a set of DVD's - and then, did anyone upload that data ?

You are familiar with the Oasys forum here ?

Try this:

FullSet OASYS programs

OASYS preload, including EXi Expansion sounds. When Kronos and Kronos X came out, they used almost all of these programs/combis.

Nice thing about the OASYS programs is that they are grouped by synth engine type:

User Bank B contains EXi Expansion programs. User Combi B combis are derived from programs in that B bank.
User Bank A - EXs 2 Piano programs
User Bank C - MOD-7 programs
User Bank D - LAC (MS-20/PolySix) programs
User Bank E - STR-1 programs
User Bank F - Organ (first half) and AL-1 (second half) programs
User Bank G - EXs 3 Brass/Woodwinds programs. Asscociated combis in combi User Bank G.

Furthermore, all OASYS factory combis are derived from Factory banks A, B, & C. Very organized, compared to Kronos. Factory A - G are here, as well.

Important. Before loading, you should SAVE a PCG bank of your Kronos programs and Global settings. Something like "Sounds2018."

Thanks for your help Mike. I've downloaded the FULLSET PCG.

I had some custom patches saved on a separate USB drive so didn't bother about backing up the PCG.

I assume, that the stock Kronos 2 sounds are all still recoverable from the PRELOAD KSC file on the in HDD INTERNAL drive ?

They would be in your FACTORY folder.

Thats great. Thanks for confirming this.

Have you got the PRELOAD KSC file as well that you could share from the Oasys hardware ?

Another question, Have you got any Piano/E.Piano custom patches from the Oasys that you've created that I could have ?
There seems to be very limited resources online for shared custom Oasys patches. I've looked on both Karma-labs forum and Korg forums.

No idea why you are asking for that. It is only 54 bytes. Here:

I suggest loading some DX7 EP banks and combining 2 patches in a 2 oscillator program. I've done it, but don't have them saved. Some nice layers can be made with what is out there. The SY99 had some programs made out of dual patches that sounded pretty good.

You can get Kevin Nolan's file which claims to have 200,000 DX7 sounds, as well as other sounds here:

Also, go to this website for William Bush's piano libraries. It might be exactly what you are looking for:

EDIT: From the looks of it, you might have better luck finding those Purgatory Creek, and other sounds, in the Korg Kronos Shop:

Thanks for the KSC file and your suggestions Mike.

I guess it's just my ocd and wanting to set up my Kronos exactly like the Oasys.

I really don't have any programming knowledge especially with Fm synthesis.\

If you had the time, would this E.Piano patch that I'm told was made on Oasys be something that you could custom make for me ? It could even be a combi of a couple of patches.
