Qui should be employed by Korg. They could do with someone like him to run workshops.

Here are some questions:
Q1- I tried to listen your sounds through the Direct tab (through USB flash drive) but nothing is showing. I've already set your .SET it in Global > Direct Folder > Browse.

SOUNDS cannot be accessed from a DIRECT SET - only STYLEs, SONGBOOK and KEYBOARD-SETs
BR wrote:
Q2- Is it possible to have and use this sound set as Keyboard Sets with their own effects.

YES - you can use Qui's sounds as part of a KEYBOARD-SET and there is nothing stopping you from changing the SOUNDs' FX.

Cheers

I've seen on your videos that you can layer lots of sounds into one sound a opposed to using three right hand parts. How did / do you do this ?
Once again thanks for your help.

Thanks for that took me a while to find the waveforms on the Pa700

If you download the pa700 manual you will find a list of all the samples on the pa700 at the end of the manual. For instance the basic wave forms have the following sample number (which you can type in directly at the osc screen)

714 - saw 1
723 - square
726 - triangle
729 - sine

and lot's of variants of those on other locations.

also in the pa700 manual, it's the same as the pa4x. 24 Osc's

Thanks Pete for responding to my questions.
I want to assign the Qui's sounds with their own FX (I don't want to change their own effects), so if I import a Qui's sound to Upper 1, does it over right the existing FX of the Upper 1?
If so, it's exactly what I want to do.

yes it overwrites the existing fx of upper 1, that's exactly how i create my songs in the songbook. I replace the upper 1 with one of the melliflous sounds and then use that effect setup (which is set by the sound in upper 1) for the complete keyboard setup. As soon as i like that setup i write the song to the songbook, or if i think i am going to use that keyboard set again, then i write it as a user keyboard set.

Thanks QuiRobinez for your input, this is exactly what I was waiting to hear.
Now just one more question, I tried to load your sounds one by one but I realized that it is not possible to do so with PCG's.
I have enough empty User Sound spots to place your 128 sounds but unfortunately there are some sounds from my sets that occupied in between in random spots in User Sound.
And I don't know in what styles or keyboards set these sounds are used, complicated to move them in other empty place and make available empty spots for 128 sounds in one User Sound.

Please advise.
Thanks

actually you can do this.

it works the same as on a korg kronos. You can load all the sounds directly in a different location (like for instance tab user sound 4. Or you can load them one by one in the location you want. Here's how to do it:

- Copy the melliflous.SET file to a usb stick
- press the media button on the korg pa4x
- select the melliflous.set file in the load tab on your usb stick
- now press OPEN
- now press the folder called SOUND on your screen
- press open again
- the sounds are in USER1.PCG
- press the folder USER1.PCG on your screen

Now you can do two things
1: load the sound set in a different location
- press LOAD
- you will get a drop downlist where to load the sounds of User 1, select Usr sound 4 to load the entire sound set in USER Sound 4

2: load every sound one by one
- Press OPEN
- you will see all 127 sounds
- select the first sound and press Load
- now you can select the location where you want it to load to
- Do this for all sounds you want to load

Hope this helps

Thanks Qui to direct me into right direction.
I'll try this method and will get back to you if I encounter any problem.
Thanks again.

that's a really good attempt for a first try, much better then when i started programming my first sounds!

some tips based on what i hear. Try to use at least 2 oscs for these kind of pads and pan them left and right (not completely left and right but about 30 percent) Then instantly you will hear much more space in your pad because it sounds more stereo. Also you could try to add some effects on it. For instance a chorus insert (just a slight chorus on it, not much) and a reverb will do wonders for those kind of pads.
Then the next step is to assign a lfo to the filter, also very subtle but it will bring some movement to your pad sound.

good work!
